In order to start making upgrades to the CT Externals, I would really like to have users' suggestions. What would you like to see done with the various externals. Please contact me on the support BBS at (203) 772-4485.
If you are having problems now, please leave a clear description of EXACTLY what is wrong. I keep getting messages on Olympus that say things like "None of the externals work with my board". The only answer I have to that is that maybe you should run Hermes and not some other BBS. Please remember that none of these externals were written by me. I really don't know the code to any of them very well. If you aren't specific I probably won't be able to do much.
I will be updating the externals one at a time I think. Unless people have very specific problems, I will also probably be making improvements as I go along, rather than doing bug fixes first. The reason for this is that since the code is so foreign, I end up doing a major rewrite anyway just to figure out what is going on. I might as well makes changes as I do it. For this reason it would be helpful if users could tell me which externals they would like to see updated first. I have already received several suggestions, and unless I hear otherwise I will probably go with those suggestions.
Please make these suggestions on the support BBS though. Don't mail them to me on Olympus. I realize that that means you probably have to call long distance, but if I get lots of messages here, it is difficult to answer them since calling Olympus is long distance for me. If you post publicly on the support BBS you will get much more attention than if you mail me personally.
